Nutrisystem Review #317 by wen on February 4th, 2012 at 9:12 AM CST Name I'm surprised this is voted # one. The food is lousy, expensive because you have to fill in with veggies and meat. I wanted the ease of having everything measured, and program planned for me. I justified the cost per week; if I ate expensive meals at home as opposed to this program, it would be near equal. Not true. The true cost, and being generous here, would average $120.00 weekly, for ONE person to eat. The pasta sauce is very sugary and most of the portion is sauce only. The dried lunch products are so bad tasting. Can't say I enjoyed one thing on the menu. The flatulence caused is not the norm for me. I called one week into the program to cancel. You can't 'just cancel", the person answering the call was scripting out BS for 10 minutes. I did'nt dare hang up, for fear my cancellation would not be processed. For people concerned about the company trying to continue charging your card or debit, all you need to do is contact your card/bank company. They will block NS from further charging you. No problem. Orders come to the door, simply refuse deliver, nothing they can do, no charges to you, easy. What I got out of this program; eat a cup of whatever you normally would like to eat for your 3 main meals, have a low calorie snack between meals and drink as much water as you are able; at least 8 glasses/day. Exercise is a big weight loss help. I suspect most people would lose a lb. a week easily without exercise. But exercise is important to everyone. I'm surprised this is voted # one.
